This past Sunday we were scheduled for family portraits at an estate in Amherst with beautiful rolling hills, gorgeous landscaping and a serene lake. A photographer’s dream location. The plan was to use the splendor of Mother Nature as the backdrop for this session.
Mother Nature had other plans! She decided to bless up with some much needed rain all day.
So plans were changed and we had to move the shoot indoors, 21 people! This is no easy task – unless, that is, the family has an equally beautiful room, large enough to accommodate a group of 21. The Harris family did!
We were fortunate enough to grab a few pictures outside under the back porch in between downpours.

I love shooting engagement sessions, and this was definitely a great one! From a family farm, to the venue where they will be getting married, to Mill Creek Lake where Danny first declared his love for Jessica…this session was filled with excitement and emotion! Their two “babies” Tyson and Alice even got to tag along for a few pictures with them. I cannot wait to see how beautiful their May wedding will be. Congrats Jessica and Danny!
Just how cute is he?!? I first met Colton for his Easter portraits, and it was even more fun to see him again! His mommy said its was time to get his curls cut off, but she wanted pictures again before his first hair cut. Colton was all smiles and full of energy and we had another great session!

On Monday I introduced you to an amazing young couple so full of love and beauty from the inside out. It was easy to see how into each other they are!
Brittany’s bridal session was no different….
It was so exciting to be the first person to see her all dolled up looking gorgeous like she was certain to look on her wedding day. But I got the sneak peak! I love, love, love bridal sessions. It’s the moment when they realize just how real this is! You can see the spark in their eyes as the thought hits “I’m really getting married! It’s my time!”

We are finally able to share a few of our favorite images from Katie’s senior session. You can’t tell from the pictures, but this was by far the Coldest day this past fall! Katie was such a good sport in weathering the temps (no pun intended!) And the results were well worth the day!!
